Road to Tokyo 2020
The two highest ranked teams (not otherwise qualified) from the 2019 IWRF European Championship Division A will qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
For Europe's top teams, Vejle is an incredible important stop on the road to Tokyo 2020. Only one of the two finalists in Denmark will be hoisting the trophy on August 11, but both teams will have cause to celebrate. By securing a place in the final, they will have qualified for the Paralympic Games, where they will join the world's top teams in the hunt for the ultimate glory.
In total, eight teams and 96 athletes from around the world will compete at the Tokyo Paralympics in the wheelchair rugby event. The final chance to qualify will be the 2020 IWRF Paralympic Qualification Tournament, where the two top ranked teams will book their tickets.
